Multifaith Day of Service: January 19, 2015
Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Join us for our third annual day of service that will unite the faithful from across the Peninsula!
A total of 18 congregations of different faiths are joining together for one day of service to our community. This is the perfect opportunity to improve our communities and at the same time work side by side with brothers and sisters of other faiths (Christian/Jewish/Muslim/Hindu/Buddhist).
After a kickoff breakfast at 8:30 a.m., volunteers disperse to project sites. In general, projects will last three to four hours. All participants must register online by January 9 at www.peninsulamultifaith.org or www.tinyurl.com/penmlk2015. We are sorry that we will not be able to accommodate walk-in volunteers this year.
Two of our projects this year include collecting new or slightly used books for children ages 5–9 and children’s clothing plus coats for all ages. Please put your donated items in the collection boxes at FPCB. Visit our table in Fellowship Hall on Sundays for more information or to sign up.
